Wednesday, April 11: The Hip Hop Caucus leadership team is hosting the Charlotte Rallying Reception for the 2012 Respect My Vote! Campaign at Caviar Nightlife. Click here for tickets.
Thursday, April 12: Social Media 2.0 Workshop for Nonprofits presented by The Federal Reserve of Richmond/Charlotte Branch; the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits and United Way of the Carolinas. Register now!
Friday, April 12: Charlotte-Mecklenburg Women’s Summit: Women, Wages and Work, featuring a keynote by Dee Dee Myers, former White House press secretary. I am honored to be on “Advocating Effectively” panel in the morning with former Judge Shirley Fulton and Charity Magnuson, director of NC Stop Human Trafficking. We’ll be talking about using social media and community organization. Register now!
Sunday, April 15: DVA Charlotte kicks off its volunteer service projects with a two-hour event at Amay James Recreation Center! Are you free from 3 to 5 p.m.? We’ll be doing grounds clean-up, painting benches and putting together picnic tables. Bring the family! Click here for more info.
